However, self-care is not the only thing adversely affected by low self-esteem; this topic is big enough and important enough to warrant a post. For clarification, self-esteem is how you think and feel about yourself. Women with high self-esteem can discount negative opinions and remain assured of their self-worth. While seeking approval from others is natural, if you’re overly concerned about what others think or say about you, it may be a sign of low self-esteem. As you navigate your encore years, focusing on building your self-confidence becomes even more crucial.
